iO Drum Light Shade - Small

A handmade single-shade plywood pendant, crafted in New Zealand by Mat MacMillan in Tauranga.

The iO Small Shade is the standalone version of the iO family — a 300mm fluted plywood shade with a Japanese Shoji paper diffuser inside, designed to throw soft layered shadows when lit. Sized for over a kitchen island, beside a bed, above a side table, or anywhere a single quietly considered pendant earns its place.

The Shoji paper softens and warms the light. It can be removed if you prefer a sharper, more directional beam — different rooms call for different qualities of light, and the iO accommodates both.

This is a made-to-order piece, not stock. Choose:

• Shade finish — natural plywood, or with black tips for a more graphic contrast

Allow 6-8 weeks from order to dispatch.

Because each shade is custom-made, this product is non-returnable except in the case of a fault. A shipping fee applies. Please note: due to the fragile nature of the shade, we cannot ship to rural delivery addresses — please nominate a town address at checkout.
