About these terms

These terms apply when you use the Lighthouse Lighting website (lighthouselighting.co.nz) or purchase products from us. By placing an order, you agree to these terms.

About us

Lighthouse Lighting is a New Zealand business. Our showroom operates as Accent Lighting at 829 Colombo Street, Christchurch Central City. You can reach us at admin@lighthouse.nz or 03 377 7206.

Pricing

All prices are in New Zealand dollars and include 15% GST. We reserve the right to change prices without notice, but the price you see at checkout is the price you pay.

Orders

When you place an order, you'll receive an order confirmation by email. This confirms we've received your order, but the contract between us isn't formed until we've accepted your order and dispatched it. We reserve the right to decline an order, for example if a product is incorrectly priced or out of stock.

Payment

We accept payment by major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, and other methods displayed at checkout. Payments are processed securely by Shopify Payments. We don't see or store your card details.

Product information

We do our best to describe products accurately, including dimensions, finishes, and specifications. Colour reproduction can vary slightly between screens — if a product's exact finish matters to you, we recommend visiting our showroom or contacting us before purchasing.

Stock availability

Most items show real-time stock levels. Some items ship directly from suppliers and may have variable lead times — these are noted on the product page. If a product becomes unavailable after you order, we'll contact you with options.

Returns and refunds

Returns terms are covered in our Returns & Refunds Policy. In summary: change-of-mind returns are not accepted on most lighting fixtures due to their fragility, but your statutory rights under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act and Fair Trading Act apply regardless.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim relating to a product is limited to the price paid for that product. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any rights you have under New Zealand consumer protection law that cannot be excluded.

Intellectual property

All content on this website — including text, images, logos, and product photography — is the property of Lighthouse Lighting or our suppliers and is protected by copyright. You may not copy, redistribute, or use our content for commercial purposes without written permission.

Governing law

These terms are governed by New Zealand law. Any dispute will be resolved in the New Zealand courts.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page at the time you place your order applies to that order.
