Sensor Recessed Step Light with PIR + Daylight Sensor

A recessed step light with a built-in dual-function sensor — combining PIR motion detection with an ambient light sensor, so the fitting only activates at night (under 8 lux) when movement is detected, and remains off during the day even when triggered. Useful in hallways, stairwells, bathrooms, ensuites, and bedrooms where automatic low-level wayfinding is wanted but daytime activation would waste power and feel intrusive.

The dual-sensor approach is meaningfully better than basic PIR-only step lights. With a single PIR sensor, the light triggers any time motion is detected — including in daylight or bright artificial light. The daylight sensor cutoff means this fitting waits for genuine low-light conditions before activating, a small but practical refinement that matters for bedside and hallway use.

The 120° detection angle covers a 3m approach range and 0.5m close range, with a 30-second hold time after motion stops. The 8-lux daylight threshold is set as default — appropriate for most residential applications without adjustment.

UGR <9 glare rating is exceptional for a step light at this tier — important for bedroom and hallway installations where the fitting sits at calf height and could otherwise create visible glare from oblique viewing angles.

The 60mm cut-out and 81mm round bezel diameter suit standard wall and stair-riser preparations. IP44 rating allows installation in bathrooms and toilets.
