A bespoke floor lamp handcrafted in Christchurch from native New Zealand rimu. The gently curved form rises 1,720mm from a sculpted base, with a continuous LED strip running the full length of the inner edge — the warm glow against the rich, honey-toned grain creates something that reads as much as furniture as it does a light fitting. Rimu's deep figure and natural lustre are what give the piece its presence; this is a timber prized in New Zealand craft for exactly that.
No two pieces are identical. The natural variation in the grain means the lamp you receive is genuinely one of a kind — a sculptural anchor for a living room, bedroom or entrance hall, and a piece made to last decades rather than seasons.
Best placed where it can be seen in full: beside a sofa, in a hallway, or as a corner light that doubles as a focal point. Indoor use only.
